To overcome this problem, the Moffett truck-mounted forklift can lower the hydraulic stabilizers to give it extra stability and allow the mast to be retracted. The hydraulic stabilizers are also what allows the load to be lifted, replacing the counterbalance in the conventional forklift. But the real advantage of this forklift is what it is named after.

This saves the cost of packing up and transporting the forklift every time and increases the margin for profit.
